I may be a morning person but not everyone loves them. Here are a few tips that will get you started off on the right foot.
1) Skip the Snooze Button
Breaking the habit of hitting the snooze button may require some time and effort but it’s definitely worth it. Trust me, your mornings will change for the better once you get in the mode of automatically getting up once your alarm goes off. The first few days of training yourself will be the roughest but the reward of boosted energy from avoiding false starts will be worth it.
2) Do Some Stretching
You don’t have to spend 10 or 20 minutes stretching to see benefits. Just a few simple and light movements will signal to your brain that it’s time to get moving.
3) Eat Something for Breakfast
Kick start your metabolism by eating something. Carbs will give you energy and protein will help you feel more satiated.
4) Drink Water
You’ve just woken from a few hours of no hydration so your body needs to be replenished with water. Get things flowing with at a glass of H2O.

5) Avoid the Phone
This includes social media and news. Let yourself awaken naturally and without any potential causes of stress.
6) Read
Books and magazines can be great ways to get your thinking up to speed to be able to tackle the rest of your day. Your cognitive functions will get primed and boosted from a little early morning stimulus.
7) Play Music
Music plays a tremendous role in altering our moods. Whether you play something upbeat or soothing, you’ll set the stage the way you want to as you get moving.
8) Exercise
This one will really vary from person to person. If you have the energy then definitely get some training in but if you don’t your body rhythms may be tuned to best working out later or at night.
