I recently reunited with the love of my fitness life. It had been years since we had seen each other after just drifting apart. The split was nothing personal and no one was to blame  but that didn’t make the reunion any less sweet.

I first saw you when working as a certified personal trainer and fitness nutrition specialist. You seemed so unassuming but once I got you in my hands I knew you were a force to be reckoned with. I had never felt that way in such a short amount of time. Sure, the stair climber and spin classes had set my heart aflutter in the past but this was a whole new world!

I introduced you to my clients and they had a love/hate relationship with you but they too knew you were something very special.

You raise heart rates and you have the ability to turn the biggest, baddest, toughest, strongest, most physically fit people in the gym into a puddle.

Your skill in combining a super effective cardio session and a full body workout are unrivaled.

What you don’t do is also as important as what you do. You don’t cause all the joint impact and potential for injury that other forms of cardio exercise can. I’m not trying to put the others down, it’s just that you’re in a class of your own and we love you for that.

You melt fat, sculpt muscles, tone all the right places, help increase range of motion, enhance stability and balance, and you’re a lot of fun to be around.

Battle ropes… you complete me. ;)
